AGADIR DAY TRIP TO ESSAOUIRA
Experience the fascinating culture, history, and heritage of Essaouira during a one-day trip from Agadir.
The Medina of Essaouira is filled with colorful Moroccan-Portuguese-style grand mosques, terraces, cafes, and souks.
In 2001, the old Portuguese city was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Morocco. After driving through the Atlas mountain for a few hours, we'll stop at the following places:
- On the way, we will stop to see some "flying goats" picking nuts from Argan trees.
- A berber village is our second stop for a coffee break.
After arrival in Essaouira, you will have free time to explore the souk located inside the Medina and expolore the ramparts of the Kasbah, where you will see the ramparts of the Scala, the port of Essaouira, the municipal market, the neighborhood jewelers and craft complex.
The streets are lined with shops selling handcrafted items like Thuya wood products, clothes, and carpets...
Make sure to visit Essaouira's beautiful sunny beaches while you're there. We will begin our return journey back to Agadir after your free time.
Itinerary
➊ You will be picked up at 7:30 in the morning from your hotel in Agadir (8:15 for Taghazout hotels).
➋ A rest stop on the road to Essaouira where you can use the restroom, stretch your legs, or buy drinks.
➌ Stop to watch goats climbing the argan tree and grabbing argan nuts from the tree.
➍ Around 11 o'clock in the morning, we arrive at the old portugal city "Essaouira" and then we start exploring it.
➎ Four hours free time in Essaouira for exploring the city and find a place to eat.
➏ We will meet at the agreed meeting point and begin our journey back to Agadir.
➐ Then return to your hotel in Agadir by 7 p.m.
